The Sainsbury Singers has been busy working with a top notch cocktail mixologist to create an extra special early booking offer for Return to the Forbidden Planet at Leighton Park, Reading on 29 October-1 November.
Inspired by Prospero’s mind expanding potion, ‘The X-Factor’, The Singers approached Kelley Hill, of hip Reading night spot Be At One, to choose a cocktail and mocktail that we can re-create at the theatre bar as an added incentive for really early bookers.
Kelley, who has recently won a local cocktail competition with Wray & Nephew Jamaican Rum, came up with a short list of classic cocktails with an added space themed twist! The team then met an enthusiastic Kelley to whittle down the finalists, picking her expert brain about her ideas, and even tasting a few juices in order to choose the winning recipes!

- Spacey Smash – gin, grape, mint and elderflower
- Monster Mash – apple, mint and ginger ale

Friday 31st October – Fancy Dress Spectacular (fancy dress optional!)
On Friday 31 October, we would like to invite you to get into the spirit of the show, and celebrate Halloween, by wearing space themed fancy dress. Of course, you don’t have to wear fancy dress to come to the show, but it will make for lots of fun and we’d love to see how creative you can be with your costumes. There will even be a free “treat” for those who come in fancy dress! Then join us in the bar after the show when we will award the wearer of the best costume with 2 tickets for our May 2015 show.
